Baloncesto Fever

Here in New York, Sharapova and Federer and strutting their mini skirts and headbands at the US Open, but anyone care about basketball? Around the world they do. If you thought sneaking out from the office at lunchtime to watch the World Cup was risqué, consider the FIBA World Championship in Japan, which started August 19 and ends September 3rd. Games are at wild times such as midnight, 4:00am or 7:00am, which makes for a fun breakfast especially on a Sunday. If only the collective enthusiasm was as big as with soccer. So far, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Panamá, and Brazil already got eliminated, but we can still cheer for Argentina and Spain (which will likely battle each other for the title)! Schedule for the next few days during quarterfinals:
Sun Aug 27
12midnight - USA vs Australia
4:00am - France vs Angola
7:00am - Greece vs China
Tues Aug 29
5:30am - Argentina vs Turkey
8:30am - Spain vs Luthuania
Any good bars to watch the games? Let us know.
